We all love a good brownie recipe. I love a good brownie recipe but I also want one that’s a little lower on the calories but still high on that delicious chocolate taste. These holiday brownies use Zing baking blend which is a stevia leaf extract and pure cane sugar blend that’s a great alternative to sugar in any holiday dessert recipe. Or any dessert recipe for that matter!

I started off with the ingredients below, and decided to use oats instead of the coconut flakes because I made the recipe both ways and liked the oat version better. If you’re a big fan of coconut go with coconut! Or split the serving in half and go with both! Totally up to you.Brownie Ingredients copy

The thing I love about this brownie recipe is that it’s simple. There isn’t much to it, the ingredients are light, and one brownie is less than 150 calories! Throw some whipped cream on these babies and go to town.

To start, you’ll want to mix your ingredients together and grease a nonstick pan. You can use an 8×8 or an 11×7. I used the 11×7.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit and stick these babies in there. Cook for about 15 minutes and remove from the oven. Stick a toothpick in and if it comes out clean you’re all done!

Let these brownies cool so they’re easier to work with, or if you’re like me and like a warm brownie with a dollop of ice cream on top, scoop out a corner and don’t worry about being tidy! I decided to let this brownie recipe cool so I could stack them like this…Brownie 1I also wanted to give them to a friend for his birthday so I had to let them cool so I could put them in these adorable little gift boxes that I bought from the 99 cents store!

Brownie Recipe for a Healthier Holiday


  • - 3/4 cup nonfat greek yogurt
  • - 1/2 cup cacao powder
  • - 1/3 cup zing baking blend
  • - 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • - 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • - 1/4 cup coconut flakes and/or oats
  • - 1 egg
  • - 1 tsp baking powder
  • - Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chocolate chips


  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit and grease a baking pan.
  2. Mix all of your ingredients together in a blender/food processor or by hand with a wooden spoon.
  3. Spread your brownie mixture into the pan and place in the oven for 15 minutes.
  4. Let cool before cutting and serve with whipped cream and hot chocolate!
